I genuinely really enjoyed this one. The brick quality is excellent, with a really snug fit and pieces that slide together smoothly. It gives the whole build a really nice feel as you’re putting it together.
There are some great features packed into the castle too. My favourite is definitely the removable black dragon, which looks great attached to the castle but can also be taken off and posed separately. There’s also a working dice tower and a strange six-eyed creature bursting through the wall, which is a cool little surprise in the build.
It’s a really good size as well. There’s plenty going on and it looks great on display without taking over an entire shelf.
The value for money is another big plus. With 913 pieces for the price, you’re getting a lot of build for your money. I’d have still been happy with this set if I’d paid somewhere around £50 for it, which is closer to what I’d expect to pay for a set of this size from one of the leading brands.
Overall, it’s just a genuinely very good set. I enjoyed building it, I really like the finished design, and I’m glad I bought it.
This was my first IAMBRICK set and it’s definitely left a good impression. I’ll be looking at more of their sets in the future.
