This one was a fantastic build from start to finish. I genuinely don’t have any complaints about the build itself — it was enjoyable, the finished ship looks brilliant, and it has that big, dramatic pirate-ship presence you want from something like this.
My one complaint is the sails. They do have a few holes in them, but they still look far too clean and pristine for a battered old pirate ship. I’d have loved to see rougher edges, more tears, some fraying, or just a bit more weathering to make them feel properly worn and ragged.
That aside, I really enjoyed this one. The ship itself has loads of character and makes a seriously impressive display piece once it’s finished.
And for a 2,861-piece ship, the price is unbelievable. This is exactly what keeps standing out to me with BrickVivid: you get a massive, detailed display build for the sort of money that makes you wonder how they’re doing it.
Built by me. Fantastic build, great finished model — I just wish the sails looked a bit more abused.
