This was a really enjoyable build from start to finish. There was plenty going on throughout, with hidden mechanisms, traps and little details that kept the build interesting rather than feeling repetitive.
One of my favourite sections was the booby-trapped hallway. Building the mechanism for the blade coming through the wall and the breakaway section was really cool, and it works surprisingly well once everything is together.
Earlier in the build I wasn’t completely convinced by the lighter sand-coloured bricks, but as more of the set came together they started to make much more sense and work really well with the overall design.
I also really enjoyed watching the different sections gradually come together and discovering some of the hidden details along the way.
Overall, this was a great build with plenty of character and some genuinely fun mechanisms. At 2,388 pieces, there’s enough going on to make it feel substantial without the build becoming repetitive, and I’m really happy with how the finished set turned out.
Definitely one I’ve enjoyed building and a very good addition to the collection.
