Rivendell is easily my number-one build so far. I originally went for an unofficial version because I simply couldn’t justify the price of the official set at the time, and for what I paid, it was incredible value. It looks absolutely stunning finished, and I genuinely loved the whole build.
Even the repetitive sections were satisfying. There are hundreds of small roof pieces to line up, but using the little trick of sliding a piece along them to straighten everything out is weirdly satisfying once they all snap into place. It’s one of those builds I’d happily do again.
The BrickVivid version linked here is a 6,167-piece compatible Rivendell set and gives you that huge, detailed display-piece feel for considerably less than the official alternative.
And at 6,167 pieces, the value is frankly ridiculous. This is exactly where BrickVivid stands out for me: enormous, detailed builds at prices that make sets of this scale realistically accessible.
Built by me. Loved by me. Easily one of my favourites.
Note: the version I personally built was an unofficial Rivendell set and may not be the exact same manufacturer/version as the BrickVivid set linked here.
