The Batman Tumbler was another build I really wanted in the collection, and going with a compatible-brick version meant I could actually enjoy building one without paying the sort of money retired sets can command.
This was a genuinely enjoyable build. The Tumbler is completely different from a normal car build, and watching that chunky, aggressive shape gradually come together was a big part of the appeal for me.
The finished model is exactly what I wanted from it. It's bulky, unusual and instantly recognisable, with loads of presence on display. Put it next to a more conventional car and it looks slightly ridiculous in the best possible way.
Most importantly, I enjoyed actually building it rather than just wanting it because of what it represents. That's what earns a set its place in my Built By Me collection.
A fantastic build, a brilliant finished model and a very easy one for me to recommend.
