This was one of my first Speed Champions and came from my first proper LEGO shopping spree at Smyths, when I somehow managed to walk in and spend about £300 on LEGO.
I built three Speed Champions that day, including this Mustang and the R34 Skyline, and I’m pretty sure the Audi e-tron was the third. This was a nice quick build and a great introduction to why I ended up enjoying the Speed Champions range so much.
The finished Mustang looks great, especially the aggressive front end and rear wing, and it’s a solid display piece. Looking back, this was one of the sets that helped kick-start what has now become a considerably bigger Speed Champions collection than I planned. 😂
