It's only 542 pieces, but there's a surprising amount packed into the finished camp, with the covered wagon, tent, campfire, figures and loads of little details that make the whole scene feel alive.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne of my favourite things about LumiBricks sets is the way they handle the lighting. Rather than just running wires wherever they'll fit, the build uses specially designed pieces and routes to keep them hidden. Once everything is finished, you're looking at the model and the lighting rather than a load of wires, and it makes a massive difference.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe lighting works particularly well here. The warm glow around the wagon and tent gives the whole camp a great atmosphere, while the red light in the campfire really brings the centre of the scene to life.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere are some brilliant little details too. The cooking area on the back of the wagon is probably one of my favourites, and even things like the little vulture in the dead tree give it loads of character.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt's a fairly compact set, but it doesn't feel empty or basic. There's something going on almost everywhere you look, and once the lights are switched on it makes a really nice display piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis was actually my second time building this set, and I enjoyed it all over again. Once the lights are on, they completely change the look of the Stagecoach and make an already cool little build even better on display.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne bit of advice from personal experience: pay attention to where those printed pieces are going. I managed to put one in the wrong place and only realised after I’d carried on building around it, which meant taking a rather painful amount of the Stagecoach apart again to correct it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLesson learned.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce everything was back where it was supposed to be, though, I was really happy with the finished build. There are a few fiddly sections, especially the stairs, which tested my patience more than once. Once the framework around them is built up though, they look really cool and work brilliantly as part of the finished model.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne of the things I really like is that you can build the Titanic in two different forms — either as the complete ship or the sinking version. It isn't something you can quickly switch between though. You have to dismantle parts of the model and rebuild it in the other configuration, so personally I'll probably be keeping mine as the complete ship.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI also really like that this version takes inspiration from the movie rather than simply recreating the real Titanic. There are some great little movie-inspired details throughout the build that give it a bit more personality.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor 2,288 pieces, I think it's reasonably priced for what you get. The brick quality is very good, the finished model has loads of presence, and the lighting really brings it to life on display.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWould I have been happy paying full price for it instead of receiving it as a sample?
